Golf Pros Making Extra Money

Golf Pros around the country are taking a second look at the Covert Cooler.  The reality is, we never thought the Golf Professional would ever consider our cooler at his/her golf course.  But it didn't take long for the Golf Pro to teach us differently.

There are several areas where the Covert Cooler makes sense for the Golf Pro.  The first and most obvious is the Golf Tournament Tee Prizes market.  One sale of Qty 150 coolers nets the Golf Pro up to $600.  As we all know finding a unique golf gift is a challenge.  Most tournament directors are pulling their hair out trying to find a REAL marketing tool as a thank you gift.  Well, the Covert Cooler is solving that problem.  Our company sold over 500 tournaments to Golf Pros in 2006.  Thank you Mr. Golf Pro.

The second area Golf Pro's are selling the cooler is in the Pro Shop.  Now I know what you're thinking.....No Way are we going to sell a Covert Cooler in our Pro Shop.  Why would I sell a cooler that's going to take away my beverage sales?  The answer to that question is, it will NOT take away beverage sales..........IT INCREASES YOUR BEVERAGE SALES!!!!  The most successful golf pros around the country print the course logo on the bag and in text below the logo it reads, "Fill the cooler up, receive 10% off your green fees".  Keep in mind, filling the cooler up means NINE beverage sales.

Now we all know 10% of green fees is typically around $4-5 dollars.  If your customer is filling the cooler with nine beverages, aren't they paying a heck of a lot more than $4-5.  Not only does the cooler make a nice reatail profit sold individually to your customer, but if you use it to your advantage, you will increase beverage sales.  Be creative, give your returning customers incentive to bring the cooler in your shop.  Guys, let's face it, if your customers want to bring beverages on the course, they're going to do it whether you like it or not.  Why fight it, join them.  Give them incentive to bring coolers into the shop.   SELL, SELL, SELL them beverages.  Give them a discount, I guarantee you, you will see your beverage sales go up.

(side note: There's nothing more irritating to the guy who plays a couple time per week, than to pay top dollar for something like a beer.  They play there every week paying the green fees, buckets of balls, food in the club house, etc, etc, etc.  Give these guys a break and I guarantee you they won't side step your beverage carts.)

Lastly, many Pros are using the cooler as a complimentary cart bag to keep beverages cold. It fits perfectly in the basket behind the cart seat.  I guess the old gargabe bag filled with ice trick is out the window.  With a nice looking logo of the course, it's a no brainer.  Plus, your cart girl can sell more beverages as the golfer now has a cooler filled with ice.  Most of us withuot a cooler in the cart buy one to two beverages at a time.  Now we'll buy 4-5 beverages per visit from the beverage cart.  Remember, you're losing money when they aren't drinking.  Pack their coolers full of drinks!

As you can see, the Covert Cooler may have been originally designed to side step the beverage cart, however, if used properly it can put sizeable profits into the Golf Pros pockets.  This concept didn't come from us, we learned it from the Golf Pro.  Thanks to all you out there that get it.

It's in the bag!
